We don't have a great deal of news to report on Emily. It has been one week tonight that the was struck by a bolt of lightning and she has not regained consciousness yet. She is on a respirator and under intensive care in the burn unit at Crozer-Chester Hospital here in Delaware County, PA. However, the good news is that ( Read more... )

"emily is still stable. her heart is doing really well.

the big question now is the nuerological function. the nuerologist is saying that she can acheive a state of "wakefulness" however she has not yet really woken up. he also would like to see some movement of her limbs. she is ( Read more... )

From Rebekah:

Please pray for her brain. The neurologist is concerned that she has not woken up yet and is not using her arms and legs.

This morning:

The scans that the doctors are doing of her brain are not looking good. However, her responses have been very good. She is able to be woken up and she responds to stimuli well. The doctor said that Emily is definitely "in there" meaning she is not just staring blankly, she knows people are there and what is going on. Tonight was also ( Read more... )

Yesterday morning (June 12):

Good news, her heart is OK. Pray for her brain.

8:30 this morning. The cardiologist had been in to see Emily, and was greatly encouraged by her progress. He said the heart had no arrhythmia , blood pressure was excellent, and overall Emily showed cardiac improvement. Praise God. He couldn't address the neurological issues ( Read more... )

Thankyou everyone for praying. Emily is alive.

But she is at the hospital in the burn-unit, and has some severe burns. She is in critical condition, and they are not sure if she will live or die.

i feel like complete shit. no energy at all. completely drained. left work early. now matt is taking care of me. he went to the store to buy me crackers and ginger ale and jam. he's awesome.
